Battle of the Baskets
School teams took part in the Barnet Girls U14 Basketball tournament held at Friern Barnet School on Thursday 26th January. Teams played with determination and heart - with many matches being won only in the last second. The matches were so exciting to watch and had us all on the edge of our seats.
A huge thank you to Hugh Wilkinson who has been providing coaching for the teams leading up to the competition and who also ran the competition for us.
Final positions were:
1st - Whitefield
2nd - East Barnet
3rd - The Henrietta Barnett School
4th - Friern Barnet
As the winning team, Whitefield will now go on to represent Barnet in the London School Games, along with Christ College who are representing the Boys Team.
