School Games 2012: Culture
Part of the School Games programme for 2012 is the cultural programme. Schools have a great opportunity to involve all pupils in the experience of the Games. We have 2 ways to get involved:
Logo design - Barnet Buzzards: The Barnet Team's official name: Barnet Buzzards needs a logo designed. This will then be used in a display at the London Wide School Games event for thousands of spectators to see. Be as creative as you like - you could include perhaps a Bee - linked to the word "buzz" or think about Barnet's history or link it to the Olympic Values. Designs need to be sent to me by 23rd Feb 2012 and be no bigger than 1Mb.
Drama / Musical Performance: Do you have a drama or music act that want a stage to perform on and represent Barnet? We are looking for schools to perform on our behalf at Crystal Palace on either 29th March or 28th June in front of a 2000+ crowd! If you are interested in this great opportunity please let me know - you can even send me over footage of your act in action or I can arrange a time to see them. A Barnet entry needs to be decided by 23rd Feb 2012
Dance Performance: The stand out performance of the Barnet Dance Festival will have the opportunity to perform as above with the drama and music acts - so make sure you are entered into the Barnet Dance Festival.
