BPSS have organised an array of coaching, officiating and leadership courses for students in Barnet schools to attend during the half term break.
Congratulations to students who attended the Basketball level 1 course that took place on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th February at Friern Barnet. All 10 students passed and are now qualified level 1 coaches, well done!
A Junior Helpers Badminton course was delivered to 15 students on Tuesday 14th February at East Barnet School. The attendees developed their badminton skills and knowledge in a range of areas including: officiating, session planning, competitions and health and safety. All participants passed with Gold accreditation, well done to all that attended. These students can now help deliver and lead schools Change 4 Life clubs.
On Thursday 15th February a Netball Organisers Award and a Mini Football Referees course will be taking place at East Barnet School and on Friday 16th February a Hi 5 Netball Umpires Award course will be taking place at Middlesex University.
Students that have attended these courses will have the opportunity to be deployed at borough events to further enhance the knowledge they have gained.
