Apprenticeship in School - Based PE and Sport

Be part of an exciting new challenge working within the Barnet Partnership for School Sport (BPSS) Team by becoming a PE and School Sports Apprentice. Learn new skills and gain valuable qualifications in the sporting world that will support you on your career pathway.


The Intermediate level 2 Apprenticeship in Activity Leadership allows for the apprentice to gain the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 NVQ in Activity Leadership
  • Level 2 Employers Awareness
  • Level 2 Award in Leading Health Related Activity Sessions
  • Safeguarding and Protecting Young people
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Functional Skills
  • Potential Progression into Year 2 Advanced Apprenticeship


Application Process

We have positions for PE and School Sports Apprentices within many of our Barnet schools.

Applicants must be aged 16 or over.


If your application is successful you will be selected to attend an interview where you will be invited to deliver a session to students, complete skills tests and attend an interview.


You will then be informed of our decision to invite you for an interview at a host school.

Recruitment is on going so applicantion are welcom all year round.
