Evidencing the Impact of Primary PE Premium

Update 25th May 2021: Schools will now have until the end of this (2020/21) academic year to spend the carried forward funding, in line with the deadline for spending this year’s PE and sport premium allocation.

This article details support for schools with reporting of their Primary PE & sport Premium funding.

Maintained schools, including those that convert to academies, MUST publish, on their website, information about their effective and sustainable use of the Primary PE and sport premium funding. The reporting deadline for this current academic year is 31st July 2021 but we strongly recommend that you update it regularly.

Please Note: Due to disruption caused by Covid-19 the Department for Education (DfE) has given permission for schools to ‘carry over’ any underspend from the academic year 2019/20 into this year 2020/21, but this must be spent and reported on by 31st July 2021.

Schools must publish the amount of Primary PE and sport premium received for this year 2020/21. For guidance on this please visit Evidencing the Impact - Website Reporting Template - Association for Physical Education - Association For Physical Education | P.E. (afpe.org.uk) (updated on 24/05/2021)

Head Teachers, Subject Leaders and Governors will be able to use this simple reporting mechanism to ensure they are grant compliant in demonstrating effective use of the grant to achieve a sustainable impact.
