1. Sharing plans for the new term in the light of Covid-19 restrictions in your schools

What does your curriculum look like for September to December 2020?What activities will you be delivering and how?How will you keep your learners engaged, motivated to learn and address their needs? How will PE fit with your whole school risk assessment and new systems and procedures to maintain social distancing as well as good hygiene?

2. New Safe Practice handbook Summer 2020

3. Secondary Teacher Training Project – Barnet Schools Plan

This project will enable you in collaboration with your Barnet PE colleagues to develop PE in a way that best suits your students to increase motivation and participation. What you do is up to you but most of the spend should be about professional development and dialogue with no more than 10% on capital costs. If you or your line manager / SLT need to know a little bit more than please see the Sport England website: https://www.sportengland.org/how-we-can-help/secondary-teacher-training-programme

Rather than applying as a TSA we will be applying as a group of already networked Barnet schools and this seems too good an opportunity to not take advantage of - we do hope you will attend this virtual meeting having already shared some information with your department and SLT - that way you can come to the meeting with any questions you have.

If your school wants to be involved in this project you will need to ensure SLT approval so that we can submit an ' expression of interest' in October half term 2020. We would be in the final phase of the project, so this is the last opportunity to access this funding. If we get approval, then there would be an 'Orientation' event in the /c 1st February 2021 which a member of SLT should attend with the PE HOD or lead.

Please note there will be a charge for non buy in schools.
