LYG Virtual Inclusive Games

London Youth Games are excited to share details of the latest open virtual event, the LYG Virtual Inclusive Games, which launched yesterday (Tuesday 9th February). The LYG Virtual Inclusive Games puts disabled young Londoners at the heart of the competition empowering them to set, film, complete and share sport-related challenges.

LYG Inclusive Coaches Project

London Youth Games have launched the LYG Inclusive Coaches Project. A free coaching programme designed to give coaches the confidence and competence to include young disabled athletes in their Athletics sessions.

Inclusive PE Training Programme – Active Kids For All    

This free training programme will support teachers, trainee teachers and school staff to provide a high quality PE curriculum for all young people.

Empathy Week 2021 – Inclusion Resources

With national empathy week fast approaching (22nd-26th Feb), the Youth Sport Trust’s (YST) London Inclusion Lead schools are working together to support schools to develop young people’s empathy skills through Inclusive Sport linked to the Paralympics. This will be delivered through the Inclusion 2020 Learning & Discovery Personal Challenge days.

Learning and Discovery school based resource - For vulnerable and key worker children in school, the Learning & Discovery school based resource can be easily adapted and delivered to bubbles as a mini-festival or series of activities over a week or number of weeks.

Physical Activity Resources at Home

Panathlon at Home – Panathon have created a variety of fun inclusive activities as part of their virtual programme such as indoor target games, indoor table games and garden games.

 

YST Learning & Discovery Personal Challenges – Inclusive sport stations adapted for students at home.

 

YST Physical Activity and PE at Home – Lots of activities have all been designed to ensure young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities can access inspiring, accessible and meaningful PE and school sport during their home learning.

 

YST #ThisIs PE SEND Activities – Resources to support remote learning for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

 

Step Into Sport Leadership (Secondary Only) – Step into Sport is an inclusive leadership programme run by Youth Sport Trust. This year, YST have created presentations and a workbook that students can do at home.
