We are continuing to collate a PDF spreadsheet, attached, for schools to circulate to their school community. It contains useful links of ways in which parents/guardians can motivate their children to stay active and healthy throughout lockdown. We continually update this information each week with the latest resources released, which are marked ‘New’.

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the School Games

The School Games inspires young people to be physically active for life through positive experiences of daily activity and competition.

The School Games has a vital part to play in an active recovery term where the health and wellbeing of young people is prioritised. This is through providing the opportunity for young people to reconnect and recover through positive experiences of daily activity and competition.

Initially, this will most likely include opportunities for fun, play and connection to help young people to rebuild their confidence. Activities with friends will help to improve their physical competence in readiness to reengage in competition.

To support schools in helping young people to have a positive experience on return, please refer to the return of school sport planning tool
